Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect and build performant, responsive, accessible user interfaces using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Audit existing applications through heuristic analysis, user research, and behavioral data to improve adoption, usability, engagement, and task completion.
- Design interactive dashboards and data visualizations for AI/ML outputs, analytics, and operational metrics.
- Develop reusable component libraries and design systems across multiple products.
- Analyze complex requirements and design, implement, and manage software tools and subsystems using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and CASE tools.
- Mentor junior developers and guide software development and support efforts.
- Estimate development costs and schedules, communicate risks, and document results for program and project leadership.
- Supervise software configuration management, version control, change control, and release integrity.
- Contribute to code reviews, Jenkins and Git workflows, Sonatype Nexus artifact and dependency governance, and JIRA activities.
- Collaborate with data engineers and ML teams to represent AI/ML outputs accurately in front-end dashboards and visualizations.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- BA/BS in a technical discipline from an accredited university.
- At least 10 years of applicable experience in applications engineering, software development, or a related discipline.
- Experience analyzing complex system requirements, designing software tools and subsystems, and managing development with formal specifications, data flow diagrams, accepted design techniques, and CASE tools.
- Experience estimating software development costs and schedules and managing software configuration processes.
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying machine learning models in operational or production environments.
- Experience engineering AI-driven anomaly detection models, including time-series forecasting approaches such as Prophet, for API traffic or system telemetry.
- At least 5 years of hands-on UI/UX design and front-end development experience with a portfolio showing measurable user-experience impact.
- Experience improving adoption or usability of complex enterprise or government applications.
- Expert proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS, with deep familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
- Experience with D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts, or similar visualization libraries and UX research methods such as usability testing, journey mapping, and heuristic evaluation.
- Proficiency with Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Sonatype Nexus.
- Desired skills include Python, Golang, C++, C, SQL, Java, AWS, Hadoop, Snowflake, Databricks, PySpark, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure, XGBoost, SVM, Random Forest, kNN, Cosine Similarity, NLP, Alteryx, AWS SageMaker, Tableau, GitHub, Flask, NodeJS, ReactJS, Django, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Desired certifications include AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, CompTIA Security+ ce, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
