Responsibilities
- Contribute to team projects and goals with support from teammates.
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems at scale.
- Build clear, well-tested, extensible solutions that interact with multiple software components.
- Navigate a large codebase, debug code, and provide feedback through code reviews.
- Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders while communicating risks and trade-offs.
- Balance speed and quality while protecting systems from downtime.
- Participate in team growth and development activities.
Requirements
- Previous work or internship experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Previous work or internship experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
- Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into software solutions.
- Experience writing clear, understandable, well-tested, and extensible code.
- Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others’ code, and conducting code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
