Base Salary
$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Unblock challenges throughout the software development cycle from technical design through launch.
- Create solutions used by other teams and products and determine plans for large projects.
- Solve complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.
- Lead code reviews and documentation and handle complex, high-risk bug fixes.
- Set standards for meaningful code reviews and partner across engineering teams on company-wide projects.
- Apply expertise from an existing programming language to software engineering work.
- Mentor more junior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in multiple hands-on software or technology leadership roles with end-to-end software development lifecycle responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for Computer Science.
- Expertise in one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala.
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, with hands-on experience using public cloud offerings such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to evaluate trade-offs involving correctness, robustness, performance, space, and time.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing decision-makers across the organization.
- Ability to consider customer impact in technical decisions.
- Preferred: experience in Developer Experience or Developer Productivity, proficiency in Java or NodeJS, experience with an additional language, and experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment.
