Responsibilities
- Develop custom software products using open-source software to support BT’s Global Security Operation Centres.
- Translate internal customer user stories and ambiguous requirements into technical solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues and business challenges.
- Participate in sprint planning, create tickets, and manage assigned workloads against project deadlines.
- Provide technical support to maintain and improve the integrity of security information processes and systems.
- Suggest improvements to supported processes and software solutions.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, equivalent commercial experience, or demonstrable self-taught expertise in software development.
- Source control experience with Git.
- Preferred experience with a cyber security background, Python, backend development using Django or FastAPI, JavaScript or TypeScript frontend development, UML, and software design.
- Desirable experience with React, UI/UX design, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and testing.
