Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, delivery, and operational health of critical systems on the Fusion Automotive Retail Platform.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and well-tested software systems across different technology stacks.
- Apply system design, distributed systems, API, service-oriented architecture, event-driven, and integration principles.
- Work with data modelling, query optimization, cloud-native infrastructure patterns, monitoring, observability, and incident management.
- Lead or contribute to cross-team technical initiatives and influence the adoption of AI-assisted and AI-driven development practices.
- Coach or enable teams in effective AI-assisted development workflows where appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated growth in scope and complexity.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, system design, and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language and the ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and paradigms quickly.
- Experience delivering scalable, maintainable, and well-tested software regardless of the underlying technology stack.
- Experience with modern development practices, data modelling, query optimization, APIs, service-oriented architectures, event-driven patterns, cloud-native concepts, monitoring, observability, and incident management.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted and AI-driven development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, agentic coding workflows, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with multiple production technology stacks, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure as code, cross-team technical initiatives, automotive or SaaS products, AI-driven development workflows, and coaching teams on AI-assisted practices.
- SAFe or Agile certifications are nice to have.
- Academic qualifications are not required; selection is based on experience and potential.
