Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary hands-on builder for complex developer tooling and platform engineering problems.
- Drive high-impact projects end-to-end while making pragmatic architectural and delivery tradeoffs.
- Shape technical direction, challenge proposals constructively, and contribute to build-versus-buy recommendations.
- Build technical relationships with distributed engineering teams and travel to the US approximately 1–2 weeks per year for collaboration.
- Participate in technical interviews and evaluations for Senior engineering candidates.
- Mentor engineers, raise technical standards, and lead by example in design and code reviews.
- Communicate technical decisions through design documents, Architecture Decision Reviews, and other reviews that build team alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and current operation at the Staff level.
- Deep hands-on experience building internal developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or platform engineering at scale.
- Strong fluency across C#, .NET, Python, AWS, and Java.
- Experience shaping technical direction and influencing engineers without formal management authority.
- Experience mentoring engineers, raising technical standards, and participating in technical hiring and interviews.
- Strong technical judgment and communication skills, including experience building trust with distributed engineering teams.
