Responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements into solution designs and develop enhancements for the Windchill platform.
- Develop and customize Windchill applications, modules, workflows, and reporting frameworks.
- Prepare technical specifications and estimate the effort and complexity of development tasks.
- Implement enhancements and third-party integrations using Windchill ESI connectors and APIs.
- Collaborate with Kalypso and PTC Cloud support on maintenance activities and platform upgrades.
- Provide end-user support and troubleshoot Windchill issues, custom upgrades, and configuration errors.
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies and continuously identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in PTC Windchill development, configuration, and customization.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of PLM and Windchill capabilities, including Part, BOM, Document, CAD/WVS, Publishing Rules, Representations, and Change Management.
- Experience configuring ACLs, OIRs, lifecycles, workflows, types, attributes, business rules, and QueryBuilder reports in Windchill.
- Strong Java/J2EE programming experience, including Windchill APIs, custom actions, data utilities, validators, and event listeners.
- Programming knowledge of JSP, XML, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Server, Linux, code repositories, and development tools such as Git, ADO, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
- Fluent English proficiency at the C1 level.
- Preferred experience with Windchill PartsLink, MPMLink, ESI, REST Services, integrations, ThingWorx, Navigate, and ServiceNow.
