Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Learn Ascend’s platform, APIs, account configurations, and connected third-party systems.
- Create technical plans covering requirements, data flows, dependencies, and success criteria for customer integrations.
- Own technical workstreams for customer implementations in partnership with Customer Success.
- Build and deploy custom API integrations, webhooks, data workflows, custom features, and internal tools.
- Configure accounts, validate data flows, and lead technical testing with customers.
- Lead customer technical conversations and drive delivery from technical scoping through go-live.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success on demos, integrations, and features that remove deal or renewal blockers.
- Resolve technical issues independently and involve Engineering when broader product changes are required.
- Turn recurring customer needs and one-off builds into product features, reusable integrations, and implementation playbooks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in implementation, solutions, technical support, or forward deployed engineering.
- Experience working at a growth-stage startup.
- Experience with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, and data integrations.
- Strong debugging skills and clear communication with customers.
- Desire to learn new skills and solve business problems.
- Familiarity with or interest in learning Ruby on Rails is preferred.
- Familiarity with building external APIs and integrations such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience with payments, fintech, or insurance products is preferred.
