Responsibilities
- Solve business problems from Match Group products by defining appropriate AI/ML problems and selecting effective methodologies.
- Contribute to new products and features from ideation and prototyping through delivery to users.
- Research and develop large language models and multimodal models specialized for the dating domain.
- Lead technical work on multimodal data handling, data bias and noise mitigation, product-aligned evaluation metrics, model training, and inference optimization.
- Design reliable ML training pipelines and deployment processes.
- Lead technical decisions in AI projects involving two or more ML engineers and collaborate with multiple professional disciplines.
- Explore and share new technologies and contribute to external research publications or open-source code when appropriate.
Requirements
- PhD in an AI/ML-related field, five or more years of relevant industrial project experience, or equivalent capability.
- Broad understanding of AI/ML and deep expertise in at least one specific domain.
- Ability to define and solve ambiguous business or technical problems through sound technical decisions.
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and Python development, including maintaining high-quality collaborative code.
- Ability to design stable ML training pipelines and deployment processes.
- Ability to lead technical decisions in AI projects involving at least two ML engineers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple disciplines.
- Fluent Korean communication and basic English communication.
- Preferred qualifications include top-tier AI/ML publication or competition experience, large-scale LLM training leadership, large-scale software development and architecture or systems design, A/B testing and KPI definition, SQL-based data analysis, causal and statistical analysis, engineering team leadership, and PO/PM experience.
- Proficiency in real-time business communication in English is preferred.
