Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and manage robust data pipelines for training, validation, and continuous retraining of Large Quantitative Models and agentic frameworks.
- Develop, implement, and rigorously test ML models and algorithms while defining metrics aligned with product objectives.
- Clean, transform, and engineer features from complex, large-scale datasets to improve model performance and predictive accuracy.
- Analyze model behavior, performance, and failure modes while tuning hyperparameters and optimizing model architectures for production efficiency, speed, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and software engineers to translate business objectives into ML development and deployment roadmaps.
- Enforce high standards for code quality, system efficiency, and security in a prototyping environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field of study.
- At least five years of postgraduate software development experience.
- Experience developing highly available, performant, and scalable ML systems, including large-scale data processing pipelines.
- Strong Python expertise and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Successful experience driving the full ML lifecycle from data exploration and hypothesis testing through architecture, training, evaluation, and production deployment.
- Deep proficiency in MLOps and software engineering practices, including ML experiment tracking, automated testing, and version control for code and datasets.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: financial simulation, risk simulation, or related technical experience.
- Preferred: technical leadership in complex environments and cross-organizational technical design and execution.
- Preferred: scalable software development on cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS.
