Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable, resilient, and operable distributed-system components for AI/ML/HPC infrastructure.
- Deliver features, load tests, and performance tests for high-volume data-plane retrieval, storage, and processing.
- Build redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, and other fault-tolerant paths.
- Create monitoring, alarms, dashboards, telemetry, runbooks, and automation for issue detection, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Develop replication and synchronization mechanisms and apply advanced security controls involving encryption, access, and remediation.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analyses, peer reviews, change management, compliance, and documentation.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale production systems with 1,000 or more server instances.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, C, C++, Go, or shell scripting.
- Deep understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and high-performance applications.
- Proven ability to deliver products and experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong background in Linux systems and familiarity with system architecture, data synchronization, fault tolerance, and state management.
- Experience with enterprise storage, networking, computing, server or GPU hardware architecture, or system management is preferred.
- Experience with Infiniband or RoCE networking and public-cloud service data planes is preferred.
- Understanding of databases, SQL, MySQL, and caching technologies such as Redis and Memcache is preferred.
