Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain core or application-specific software for complex automotive embedded electronic modules and ADAS ECU serial-production projects.
- Define and maintain software schedules, milestones, effort estimates, work products, and deliveries.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the project software team and provide technical guidance and direction.
- Release software deliverables and associated documentation, including release notes, software test reports, and first-article materials.
- Lead software team members, support their development, and ensure project success.
- Define, communicate, and document software architecture and make technical trade-offs.
- Support system-requirements negotiations and review or approve engineering work products.
- Manage software risks, report status, prepare mitigation and contingency plans, and execute corrective actions.
- Implement product, process, and program enhancements to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in software engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in serial development for automotive software.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a software leadership role is desired.
- Comprehensive knowledge of operating systems on MCU or ARM platforms.
- Strong technical background and comprehensive working knowledge of embedded C/C++ development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of configuration management, project planning, and project tracking techniques.
- Prior experience leading a global team is preferred.
- Experience contributing to successful launches of automotive software products is preferred.
- Deep and comprehensive working knowledge of structured problem solving and engineering methodologies is preferred.
