Responsibilities
- Lead the UI roadmap, front-end architecture, coding standards, architecture decisions, and code reviews for the Single Dealer Platform.
- Build React, TypeScript, and RxJS interfaces for live market data, pricing, RFQ, order entry, trade capture, risk, and P&L workflows.
- Design modular, reusable, testable components and accessible design-system primitives aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA+.
- Optimize rendering performance through virtualization, memoization, profiling, and concurrent UI features for large data sets.
- Implement resilience patterns including graceful degradation, network fallbacks, retry and backoff, and circuit breakers.
- Drive automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, CI/CD quality gates, observability, analytics, and secure front-end practices.
- Collaborate with product, UX, pricing, execution, risk, infrastructure, and trading teams to deliver iterative platform improvements.
Requirements
- Solid experience building web applications with TypeScript and React, plus at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Experience with WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, WebRTC, or other high-performance bidirectional streaming technologies.
- Strong RxJS or equivalent observable experience and production reactive architecture expertise.
- Experience with GraphQL, Protobuf, FlatBuffers, or other schema-driven API design tools.
- Proven experience building real-time, low-latency UIs for market data, pricing, RFQ, execution, dashboards, or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of state management and streaming/request-response data-flow patterns.
- Experience with Jest or Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, and mock or contract testing.
- Knowledge of XSS mitigation, content security policy, OAuth/OIDC/JWT authentication, secure storage, and anti-phishing UX.
- Experience with CI/CD and feature-flagged rollouts in regulated environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build consensus across engineering, product, and trading teams.
- Capital markets knowledge and experience with micro frontends, Module Federation, single-spa, shared design systems, AG Grid, complex data-heavy UIs, and NPM package publishing are helpful.
