Responsibilities

  • Support the architecture and development of circuit simulation software within the PathWave Software Solutions organization.
  • Contribute to software architecture improvements, code refactoring, and code optimization.
  • Develop and evaluate new algorithms and AI/ML solutions for circuit simulation engines.
  • Investigate new technologies and evaluate their applications to engineering software and circuit simulation.
  • Participate in design reviews, usability testing, and customer visits to validate technical requirements and solutions.
  • Collaborate with R&D and software engineering teams on solutions across the product portfolio.
  • Apply software engineering practices including code reviews, unit testing, test-driven development, upfront design, and Agile development.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Understanding of software development practices and software architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural, and multi-site team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Python, Rust, or other programming languages; AI and machine learning; AI/ML model training and fine-tuning; databases; EDA concepts; parsers, compilers, formal grammars, or language processing; Verilog-A or Verilog-A compilers; software architecture; or complex software development projects.
