Responsibilities
- Design and develop Oracle APEX applications, including pages, components, dynamic actions, and reports.
- Write and optimize PL/SQL, SQL, tables, views, packages, and triggers.
- Implement custom user-interface enhancements with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Universal Theme customization.
- Integrate applications with external systems using REST and SOAP web services through ORDS, including consuming and exposing endpoints.
- Collaborate on solution design, data modeling, and technical decisions with senior architects.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, security, and maintainability.
- Apply authentication, authorization, session state protection, and OWASP application-security practices.
- Document technical designs, integration specifications, and deployment procedures.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, Scrum ceremonies, and CI/CD-driven deployments across environments.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on Oracle APEX experience, including version 20.x or higher.
- At least 4 years of experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and SQL, including query tuning, analytical functions, and packages.
- At least 4 years of JavaScript experience, including ES6+ and the APEX JavaScript API.
- Proficiency with CSS3 and responsive design principles, with familiarity with Universal Theme customization.
- At least 4 years of experience integrating APEX applications with RESTful and/or SOAP web services, including JSON/XML payloads, OAuth2, Basic authentication, API keys, and error handling.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; 8 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Familiarity with Oracle REST Data Services, agile/Scrum delivery, and strong verbal, written, analytical, and problem-solving skills are desired.
