Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain firmware for enterprise hard disk drives.
- Implement data structures, software algorithms, data paths, and drivers for hardware cores using C++ and Python.
- Participate in technical investigations from problem statement through conclusions.
- Create design documents for firmware development phases.
- Develop strategies for functionality and compatibility testing of complex drive features.
Requirements
- Be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Have knowledge of C, object-oriented programming such as C++ and Python, data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, algorithm design, complexity analysis, communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
- Be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of ARM or ARC microcontroller architecture, embedded firmware development, and RTOS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, or machine learning is advantageous.
