Responsibilities
- Own the full-stack architecture and technical direction of the LiveLabs application and workshop experience.
- Develop responsive and accessible interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and component-based frameworks.
- Design and implement secure back-end services, APIs, integrations, and data access layers.
- Evaluate full-stack technologies, build prototypes, and define application modernization plans.
- Create reusable UI components and JavaScript interactions for Markdown-based workshops.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, workshop authors, and users on requirements, priorities, and release plans.
- Set standards for accessibility, security, performance, automated testing, and deployment; diagnose production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers, lead design and code reviews, communicate technical decisions, and participate in interviewing and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, full-stack engineering, web application development, or a closely related technical role.
- 7+ years of hands-on front-end experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and a component-based framework or library.
- 5+ years of experience developing back-end services and APIs using technologies such as Java, Node.js, TypeScript, or Python, including secure API design and coding.
- 5+ years of experience with relational database design, SQL, data access, performance analysis, Oracle Database, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with accessible interfaces, reusable design systems, semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, screen readers, responsive design, and WCAG standards.
- Experience with automated testing, Git, GitHub workflows, build tooling, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools or generative AI services while reviewing output for accuracy, security, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Proven experience leading complex full-stack work across teams, solving difficult technical problems, setting priorities, and explaining technical decisions.
- Preferred experience includes Oracle APEX, Oracle JET, Oracle Redwood components, Markdown-based content systems, Figma, user research, usability testing, product analytics, cloud deployment, containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, observability, and technical learning experiences.
