Base Salary
$122k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build application logic that maps member attributes to ranked eligible life events and use cases.
- Implement JSON-based use-case and eligibility models for pilot programs such as Medicare.
- Contribute to discovery and access flows with appropriate eligibility visibility and resource-level enforcement.
- Integrate with Persons, Profiles, and Developer Portal APIs.
- Build and maintain React/Next.js member-facing web experiences.
- Track and document attribute gaps with Profile and Persons API teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and platform teams to shape Life Hub’s ontology and roadmap.
- Ensure performance, accessibility, cross-browser reliability, and production support for shipped features.
- Triage and resolve production incidents and bugs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent internship/academic project experience.
- Working proficiency in at least one modern backend language, with Java preferred, and comfort with REST APIs.
- Working experience with React and/or Next.js.
- Solid fundamentals in data structures, debugging, and automated testing.
- Comfort working on well-defined tickets with pair programming and guidance from senior engineers.
- Clear written and verbal communication for close collaboration across teams.
- Comfort using AI tooling for code generation, test coverage, and documentation.
- Preferred: exposure to eligibility, entitlements, identity, or benefits-related domains.
- Preferred: experience with JSON data modeling or rules/policy engines.
- Preferred: familiarity with ID.me Wallet, OAuth/OIDC, or the Nova/Fragno design system.
- Preferred: full-stack project experience spanning a UI, API layer, and database.
- Preferred: familiarity with accessibility standards and cross-browser behavior.
