Responsibilities
- Design scalable cloud architectures for highly available business applications.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads, registries, and orchestration clusters.
- Develop infrastructure as code for repeatable, auditable, version-controlled cloud provisioning.
- Configure content delivery, load balancing, compute, databases, monitoring, advisory, identity, networking, and logging services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment.
- Develop automation using scripting languages and Python.
- Manage managed relational databases, including backups, tuning, connectivity, and query optimization.
- Configure managed machine learning services for model training, deployment, and monitoring.
- Implement cloud security, governance, cost optimization, resilience, and compliance practices.
- Collaborate with application, operations, and security teams on requirements and deployments.
- Provide rotational production and non-production support, incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive remediation.
Requirements
- Four to six years of hands-on experience as a cloud engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong production experience with container technologies and registries, including building, tagging, scanning, and deploying images.
- Hands-on experience managing compute, container, and container orchestration services, including clusters, node groups, and networking.
- Knowledge of managed relational databases, backup strategies, parameter tuning, connectivity, and basic query optimization.
- Practical experience with content delivery networks, caching, distribution behavior, and load balancing.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills, including modules, state handling, and version-control integration.
- Scripting and programming experience, including scripting languages and Python, for automation and operational tasks.
- Experience with continuous delivery tools, artifact repositories, approval workflows, and container deployment strategies.
- Understanding of cloud security, cost management, resilience, monitoring, advisory tools, standards, and governance.
- Prior exposure to IT operations, incident management, change management, and service-level processes is preferred.
- Clear communication, detailed technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement skills.
- One of the following certifications is preferred: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
