Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers and architects to deliver cloud-based solutions, define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Develop, refactor, and optimize software while reducing technical debt and improving distributed-system performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices, contribute to technology strategy, and operate in a “you build it, you own it” environment.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with technologies such as Java, AWS, Amazon RDS, and PostgreSQL, and 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience includes APIs, open-source frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and AI-based coding tools.
- Preferred leadership experience includes mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, establishing coding standards and design patterns, and driving large-scale technical initiatives.
