Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of cloud platforms and services, including design, deployment, operation, and retirement.
  • Build and manage large-scale IT infrastructure products, self-service tools, and APIs for developers.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and develop self-healing infrastructure features.
  • Monitor and improve SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs while resolving incidents and supporting sustainable incident response.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery plans, blameless postmortems, ITSM processes, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with developers, managed-services suppliers, and vendors to improve development velocity and service reliability.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to research technical topics, learn new tools quickly, and develop expertise in cloud and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team, participate in technical discussions, and conduct code reviews.
  • Basic understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM, plus familiarity with AWS Organizations, policies, multi-account concepts, and governance.
  • Hands-on experience building cloud applications with Terraform or CDK.
  • Familiarity with GitLab or GitHub, software development lifecycle practices, and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or Bash scripting and testing frameworks such as Pytest.
  • Familiarity with incident response, ITSM processes, blameless postmortems, and proactive troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including SAFe, and openness to using AI assistants for learning, code generation, and debugging.
