Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data structures and pipelines for rollup reporting across multi-location restaurant groups.
- Contribute across the full stack, from schema design through delivery.
- Develop components of a new permissions and authorization system as its architecture takes shape.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to generate, review, and validate production code.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product, and data teams to deliver maintainable solutions.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, bugs, and customer-reported problems.
- Drive work from concept to completion and participate in technical discussions and process improvements.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional experience building, deploying, and maintaining web applications and services in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and backend development, including data modeling and permissions concepts.
- A record of shipping high-quality code with strong end-to-end ownership.
- Experience working in greenfield codebases and making pragmatic technical decisions with guidance.
- Clear communication, proactive prioritization, and the ability to manage ambiguity.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude as part of a regular development workflow.
- Preferred experience with data lake or warehouse tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS equivalents.
- Preferred experience with business-critical real-time data, restaurant technology, or production Elixir.
