Base Salary
$86k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate application security risks throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Triage, analyze, manually validate, and remediate web application security vulnerabilities and distinguish real attacks from false positives.
- Apply OWASP Top 10 knowledge to recommend mitigation strategies and validate compensating controls.
- Collaborate with application and engineering teams to promote secure coding and improve application security.
- Design, build, maintain, integrate, and configure technology solutions while ensuring project quality and compliance.
- Provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience.
- Software development experience with comprehensive application security knowledge, preferably in Java and/or .NET.
- Practical understanding of OWASP Top 10 web application risks and experience triaging and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Interactive Application Security Testing is preferred.
- Experience with incident response related to application attacks is advantageous.
