Responsibilities
- Understand and improve the operation of Altium Cloud Platforms.
- Improve observability through logging, monitoring, and application performance management.
- Develop reliability frameworks and patterns for resilient SaaS products across regions and environments.
- Promote shared responsibility for reliability by collaborating with and educating engineering teams.
- Participate in incident response, stakeholder communication, post-incident analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Support system design consulting, platform management, infrastructure upgrades, and capacity planning.
- Partner with engineering, development, DevOps, and operations teams to improve stability, manageability, automation, and scalability.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code and streamline deployment processes.
- Champion Service-Oriented Organization principles and clear service ownership.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a related role in a large-scale environment.
- Software development experience, ideally with .NET development.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle, microservice architecture, and high-availability architecture.
- Experience with observability tools such as New Relic, ELK, Grafana, PagerDuty, or OTEL.
- Production experience with Kubernetes clusters and AWS.
- Experience with operational tasks and basic networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, or Argo CD.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with relational databases; MySQL and PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
