Base Salary
$173k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with engineers to ensure timely delivery.
- Partner with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Build and ship web and mobile applications across Affirm’s consumer product experiences.
- Design, develop, and launch APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
- Navigate a large codebase, debug code, conduct code reviews, and participate in the interview process.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience shipping mobile applications with native or cross-platform technologies such as React Native.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Kotlin or Python.
- Ability to turn business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
- Strong debugging, code review, ownership, growth, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
