Responsibilities
- Create logical and physical solution architectures and designs for low- to medium-complexity projects.
- Analyse business requirements, document current technology landscapes, and translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
- Research and propose solution alternatives aligned with business, data, application, and technology architecture standards.
- Support solution architecture delivery, governance, modelling standards, frameworks, policies, procedures, and templates.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams through detailed design, build, test, and deployment phases.
- Review architecture deliverables for compliance, identify critical deficiencies, and escalate issues.
- Partner with Product Owners, Epic Owners, Functional Analysts, Scrum Masters, project teams, and senior solution architects.
Requirements
- Relevant three-year diploma or degree in Information Systems, B.Sc. Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Fundamental certification in cloud technologies.
- At least one year of experience in a Solutions Architect or similar role with understanding of architectural design principles.
- Experience translating and articulating the difference between business and system requirements.
- Design and architecture skills with exposure to delivering enterprise-class systems.
- Knowledge of solution architecture identification, formulation, alternatives, assessment, application development methodologies, and emerging technologies.
- Foundational knowledge of Agile ways of working is desirable.
- Experience with C# or Java, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and CSS, HTML, or JavaScript is desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, planning, organisation, and technical problem-solving skills.
