Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain features for the x360Sync macOS agent using C++, Swift, and Objective-C.
- Debug and resolve production issues across the application stack and macOS system APIs.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and provide macOS-focused technical recommendations.
- Write tested code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Improve engineering standards, internal tooling, and development processes.
- Scope and break down complex problems into tasks and document technical decisions, system behavior, and processes.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience writing C++ in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of macOS internals, frameworks, and platform APIs, including NSFileProvider and FSEvents.
- Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C for macOS-native development.
- Experience debugging complex multithreaded or multiprocess applications.
- Experience with version control, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to work independently in remote or hybrid environments.
- Ability to work effectively in an established codebase and manage priorities.
- Preferred experience includes file sync, backup, or storage products; Windows desktop development; cross-platform C++ codebases; developer tooling; performance profiling; or low-level macOS system programming.
