Base Salary
$165k - $276k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact platform projects that improve developer experience, reliability, security, testing, and safe deployment practices.
- Design AI-augmented platform tooling, infrastructure primitives, automated review workflows, and policy-as-code guardrails.
- Own infrastructure-as-code for Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP using Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, and related tooling.
- Evolve the CI/CD platform using Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Argo Rollouts, and GitHub Actions.
- Drive observability using Datadog and Amplitude, owning dashboards and service-level objectives.
- Participate in on-call and lead incident response when needed, converting postmortems into durable improvements.
- Reduce operational toil and technical debt through pragmatic remediation plans.
- Partner with product engineering teams to translate product needs into platform features.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, onboard teammates, and improve the team’s use of AI-assisted development.
- Shape the platform roadmap by identifying and scoping high-leverage opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering with substantial hands-on cloud infrastructure experience.
- A B.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
- Production experience operating Kubernetes and containerized applications at meaningful scale, including environments such as EKS, GKE, AKS, or on-premises deployments.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with Golang or Python preferred, and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB, and S3, along with networking and security fundamentals.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and the CNCF ecosystem, including Argo, Helm, Backstage, and Envoy.
- A record of delivering projects that measurably improved reliability, performance, or developer productivity.
- Interest in using or building AI-assisted infrastructure development tools.
- Strong communication, collaborative problem-solving, ambiguity navigation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous-learning skills.
