Base Salary
$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and optimize developer infrastructure, including development environments, observability systems, and deployment pipelines.
- Build and maintain core service infrastructure, shared libraries, service mesh systems, and reliable deployment platforms.
- Develop cloud-agnostic tooling, cross-cloud networking, and multiregion deployment infrastructure.
- Build identity and authentication systems supporting authorization, role-based access control, and single sign-on.
- Develop connectivity infrastructure including the MCP proxy, OAuth and token management, enterprise administration controls, and official Python and TypeScript SDKs.
- Transform the Claude API into a cloud-native managed product deployable across customer cloud providers and Anthropic infrastructure.
- Build training systems and production ML pipelines that adapt Claude to specific customer workloads.
- Independently scope complex multi-month projects, make architectural decisions, partner with research and product teams, and drive cross-organizational alignment.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of practical full-stack engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years operating at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
- Experience designing and delivering complex consumer or B2B user-facing products across the full stack.
- Technical expertise in modern frontend and backend development, including depth with languages and frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
- Experience working in early-stage startups or other rapidly evolving environments, ideally building products from 0 to 1.
- Experience driving cross-team or cross-organizational alignment and establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development practices.
- Strong candidates may have led foundational platform systems, scaled billing or payments infrastructure, built enterprise identity and access management systems, worked with ML/AI systems or LLM inference, designed multicloud architectures, or designed APIs focused on developer experience and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
