Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the architectural vision for customer-facing systems in alignment with business strategy.
- Lead cross-organization initiatives involving long-term scale, system boundaries, and foundational capabilities.
- Establish engineering patterns and frameworks for quality, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Serve as an authority on design decisions and drive alignment across teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape product direction and strategic technical execution.
- Drive organization-wide adoption of scalable practices, tools, and development norms.
- Mentor senior technical leaders and elevate engineering capabilities across the organization.
- Remove organizational blockers, simplify decision-making, and accelerate strategic initiatives.
- Translate customer needs and product goals into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive early investment in observability, migrations, reliability, and other non-functional priorities.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of group-level technical leadership.
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, or Go and deep understanding of system design for scale and performance.
- Experience introducing and scaling shared infrastructure, frameworks, or libraries across multiple teams.
- Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure, and observability tools.
- Demonstrated ability to drive architectural clarity and strategic technical alignment across functions.
- Experience translating customer and clinical needs into reliable, maintainable, high-impact technical solutions.
- Track record of improving developer experience, team velocity, and system sustainability.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability, and mentor senior engineering talent.
