Responsibilities
- Define and guide functional, integration, system, performance, and end-to-end testing strategy.
- Coordinate testing activities as Test Lead across local and global teams and mentor other test engineers.
- Own test infrastructure, including hardware setups, lab environments, networks, and PLC-based validation environments.
- Configure PLCs and industrial devices and ensure hardware-based test setups are reliable, scalable, and reproducible.
- Guide the Python and Squish test automation framework and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define test coverage, quality gates, and metrics for release decisions.
- Collaborate on requirements, architecture, design reviews, release planning, and testability decisions.
- Lead testing-process improvements and communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of software testing experience, including automation.
- Experience designing and building test strategies for complex software products.
- Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with C++, C#, or .NET.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial hardware configuration.
- Experience managing test environments involving hardware, networks, and virtualization with VMWare.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and SAFe and demonstrated technical leadership or Test Lead experience.
- English-language skills.
- Preferred qualifications include industrial automation experience, HMI and visualization software testing, distributed systems, scalability and performance testing, test-team leadership, modular software architecture, testability principles, and Squish or similar UI automation tools.
