Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated backend and API test scenarios using Java and REST Assured.
- Perform API testing with Postman, including validation of contracts, payloads, authentication, authorization, and data integrity.
- Use AI-assisted tools for test case generation, automation, test data creation, defect analysis, and QA efficiency improvements.
- Create test plans and test cases and convert manual regression scenarios into automated tests.
- Plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities throughout the SDLC.
- Integrate and execute automated tests reliably in CI/CD environments.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, non-functional, and API load testing as required.
- Review requirements and technical specifications to identify quality risks and ensure test coverage.
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, document, and communicate software defects with clear steps for developers.
- Work independently within an Agile Scrum team delivering software in two-week sprints.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software testing or QA experience with strong backend/API testing expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with REST Assured for API automation.
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON/XML, authentication, and API testing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing types, tools, and processes.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Performance/API load testing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL/database validation, microservices, API security, or contract testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools is preferred.
- Experience with project tracking tools is preferred.
- Travel and tourism experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
