Responsibilities
- Assess technical feasibility, clarify project content, review customer specifications, and prepare functional specifications.
- Engineer, design, and commission process-engineering requirements for production machinery, primarily at the plant and occasionally worldwide.
- Independently manage and coordinate projects with other departments.
- Develop constructive and technical solutions while considering functional, technological, safety-related, and economic factors.
- Create functional descriptions and develop and test application software for automation and visualization technology.
- Analyze and resolve functional and process-engineering issues.
- Document and present work results.
Requirements
- Completed engineering degree at diploma, bachelor's, or master's level in electrical engineering or information technology.
- Professional experience in special-purpose machinery and/or plant engineering; experience with paper- or textile-coating machinery is desirable.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, C#, C/C++, SQL, web-based programming, OPC UA, fieldbus systems, Rockwell, and B&R PLC application software.
- Experience designing and commissioning automation systems.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, results orientation, communication, teamwork, organization, reliability, independence, flexibility, and commitment.
- Desirable qualifications include IoT, MES, SCADA, Git, RTOS-based embedded software, AI platforms, Codesys, Beckhoff, Bosch Rexroth, and servo-drive technology experience.
