Responsibilities
- Develop and operate infrastructure using Python and infrastructure-as-code from bare metal through containers and applications
- Architect and run OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage environments
- Enable DevSecOps for applications running on the infrastructure
- Use automation, metrics, and code to operate private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters at scale
- Drive upgrades to keep customers on current open-source infrastructure solutions
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage
- Expertise in Python software development
- Operational experience
- Ability to work in a high-pressure operations environment supporting mission-critical services
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks
- Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment or operations is preferred
- Familiarity with public or private cloud management is preferred
