Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Express.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations.
- Develop performant, maintainable, well-tested, and documented software.
- Design data models and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Improve reliability, observability, and performance through monitoring, logging, and optimization.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and engineering-standard compliance.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design discussions, development workflow improvements, and automation.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and other engineers to deliver software.
- Create technical documentation, share knowledge, and evaluate AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript ES6+.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, clean code, maintainable architecture, software architecture, and system design.
- Experience reviewing and improving code written by other engineers.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude, with the ability to assess AI-generated code critically.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaborative cross-functional skills.
- Preferred experience with Python, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, JIRA, internal engineering tools, or finance-related software products.
