Responsibilities
- Expand Pipedream Connect’s core capabilities and growing catalog of third-party application and API connectors.
- Develop progressive authentication scopes, service-level enterprise account connections, and document management, normalization, and authorization capabilities.
- Design, build, scale, document, test, and maintain robust software systems and high-volume APIs.
- Deliver API and backend product features across a diverse technology stack.
- Lead a small team of engineers in designing and shipping significant product features.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development engineering, architecting, building, and scaling robust and efficient software systems.
- 4+ years of experience developing REST or GraphQL APIs with a common web application framework such as Rails or Node.js/Express.
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrable experience with key-value data stores such as Redis or Valkey.
- Demonstrable experience scaling high-volume APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong algorithmic thinking, API development, object-oriented design, software development, testing, technical writing, and documentation skills.
- Experience building distributed applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
Benefits
- Annualized base salary for the primary San Francisco location is $176,000–$264,000, with potential eligibility for a bonus plan or role-specific bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
