Base Salary

$103k - $147k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end across requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, automation, deployment, and production operations.
  • Translate customer and business needs into scalable technical solutions while balancing speed, quality, and reliability.
  • Design, build, and maintain distributed systems handling large volumes of data.
  • Identify and resolve pre-production bottlenecks and production issues to improve resilience and performance.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and shared engineering standards.
  • Partner with product managers, SREs, and cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and diagnose production issues.

Requirements

  • Complete within the past three years, or currently be enrolled with expected completion within 12 months, in a bachelor's degree program plus two years of relevant experience or a master's degree program with zero years of proven experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or Java.
  • Proficiency designing and implementing distributed systems, including databases, distributed file systems, concurrency control, consistency models, and API communication paradigms.
  • Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, container ecosystems, and microservices-based architectures.
  • Preferred experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with debugging, observability, and diagnostic tools.
  • Preferred experience developing or deploying applications using LLMs, RAG pipelines, MCP, and multi-agent frameworks.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $103,200.00 to $146,800.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

  • Employees may be eligible for Cisco restricted stock unit grants and annual bonuses for non-sales roles.

  • This is a full-time role in the United States and/or Canada.
