Responsibilities
- Build new functionality for a rapidly adopted product.
- Design and execute rigorous experiments from ambiguous ideas within weeks.
- Research state-of-the-art LLM orchestration, retrieval strategies, and data-driven personalization.
- Build large-scale ML systems and cloud-based services with high-volume data and real-time inference paths.
- Integrate current AI development stacks and focus engineering effort on core differentiation.
- Raise the team’s technical bar through mentorship, design reviews, and engineering standards without formal management authority.
Requirements
- 10+ years of applied ML/AI experience and a track record of owning technically ambitious systems end to end.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience building cloud-based services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience working with high-volume data, streaming or real-time inference paths, and multiple data stores.
- Deep expertise designing, architecting, and deploying production-grade ML/AI systems, including LLM orchestration, embedding models, and vector stores.
- Strong foundations in statistical machine learning algorithms, transformer models, and LLMs.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous 0-to-1 environments with a strong bias for action.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience building autonomous agents with multi-turn conversations and long-term context consistency.
- Preferred background in predictive modeling of user behavior, experiment design, and causal or counterfactual methods for partially randomized settings.
- Experience working on globally distributed teams is preferred.
