Responsibilities
- Design and evolve scalable, highly available multi-region infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Lead infrastructure-as-code standards and initiatives using CloudFormation, Terraform, and related tooling.
- Architect disaster recovery, business continuity, resilience, cloud cost optimization, security baselines, compliance, and infrastructure hardening strategies.
- Design and manage enterprise CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment platforms, including release engineering and automated validation.
- Build observability infrastructure for monitoring, logging, metrics, and tracing, and establish SLI/SLO, error budgeting, alerting, on-call, incident response, and post-mortem practices.
- Architect and manage production Kubernetes clusters, containerization, registries, service mesh, networking policies, security controls, Helm, ArgoCD, and Flux.
- Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers and establish technical standards, code reviews, documentation, and best practices.
- Design cloud networking and security infrastructure including VPCs, routing, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, VPNs, IAM, secrets management, and zero-trust controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of overall experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure operations.
- 5-10+ years of hands-on DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or platform engineering experience.
- Production-scale expertise with AWS, Azure, and GCP, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, Docker, containerd, Linux/Unix administration, networking, and security fundamentals.
- Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages, plus extensive enterprise CI/CD experience.
- Expertise with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions such as Prometheus, ELK, and Datadog.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems, communicate clearly, document architectures, and lead and mentor engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification; service mesh, Helm, Kustomize, distributed systems, multi-cloud, DevSecOps, disaster recovery, advanced networking, observability, and cost management experience are also desirable.
