Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services using Python and Django.
- Design relational database schemas, write SQL queries, and optimize data access for hardware configuration workflows.
- Integrate backend services with core IP generation engines.
- Build and maintain Docker- and Kubernetes-based applications for cloud and on-premise deployment.
- Develop responsive workflows and configuration interfaces within the Visual Studio Code extension ecosystem using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Implement frontend state management and data synchronization with backend APIs.
- Create automated unit, integration, and contract tests across backend and extension layers.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural standards, CI/CD practices, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, silicon architects, QA engineers, and customer support.
- Mentor team members on backend architecture, API contracts, and modern tooling practices.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of proven production experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, Django, RESTful API architecture, and relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL.
- Experience with TypeScript, modern JavaScript, web technologies, and asynchronous data handling.
- Working experience with Docker and Linux environments.
- Experience with automated testing, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and maintainable production code.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Preferred experience developing VS Code extensions or IDE language server plugins.
- Preferred experience with AWS, S3, ECS/EKS, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Verilog, Chisel, semiconductor design workflows, or the RISC-V ecosystem is preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments, sprint planning, and technical roadmaps is preferred.
