Responsibilities
- Design scalable backend architectures, REST and gRPC APIs, and ground tools for large-scale engineering datasets.
- Develop end-to-end applications for data acquisition, telemetry processing, analysis, visualization, and technical dashboards.
- Define system interfaces, boundaries, and requirements with avionics, hardware, maintenance, systems engineering, and software teams.
- Apply data analytics, machine learning, and predictive methods to flight and operational data for health monitoring and predictive maintenance.
- Make technical decisions, evaluate system trade-offs, and guide long-term platform roadmaps using robust engineering practices.
- Develop Health and Usage Management Systems across aerospace platforms including the A400M, C295, EuroDrone, SIRTAP, and Hurjet.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Systems, Software, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of combined experience in software development, systems engineering, or complex system design.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, C++, Java, or Go.
- Experience with scalable, modular, or distributed systems and API design using REST or gRPC.
- Hands-on experience processing, managing, and analyzing large, complex datasets.
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker.
- Ability to evaluate systems holistically and collaborate across software, avionics, hardware, and maintenance domains.
- Preferred experience in aerospace, avionics, safety-critical systems, or DO-178C software standards.
- Preferred knowledge of aircraft communication protocols such as ARINC and AFDX.
- Preferred hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, technical dashboards, time-series data, operational telemetry, predictive modeling, machine learning, or engineering-data visualization.
