Responsibilities

  • Develop Python automations and API integrations with ONIS engineers and users of Swisscom’s network tools.
  • Use approved AI engineering tools throughout design, implementation, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver small, reviewed changes through GitLab CI/CD and GitOps while applying Swisscom security, identity, and data-management standards.
  • Run a pilot project with a mentor, add meaningful monitoring, and gain experience with incident diagnosis, rollback, and recovery processes.
  • Share evaluated AI practices, develop reusable tests, and support sustainable knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or having completed within the past year a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a university or university of applied sciences in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of AI, cloud technologies, or data-oriented engineering and good programming or scripting skills, ideally in Python.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, Git, APIs, REST, and JSON.
  • Interest in AI-assisted software development; experience with Copilot, Kiro, or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of MCP servers and best practices for engineers using AI tools.
  • Very good German and English skills; French is an advantage.
  • Interest in new technologies and agile ways of working, with an independent, structured, proactive, analytical, and team-oriented approach.
