Base Salary

$150k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, highly available software solutions.
Develop cross-team technical strategies and architectural standards.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans with Product and Engineering teams.
Promote software design, maintainability, security, performance, and engineering best practices.
Drive continuous improvement across applications, systems, and engineering processes.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
Facilitate architectural discussions across teams and domains.
Lead engineering guilds and support engineering talent development.
Investigate complex technical challenges and drive their resolution.

8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale software systems.
Expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, client-server architecture, object-oriented design, and engineering best practices.
Ability to create technical designs and architectural documentation and influence technical decisions across teams.
Experience diagnosing and resolving complex production issues.
Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, software quality initiatives, and team capability development.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and build alignment without direct authority.
Hands-on technical leadership combining strategic thinking, ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is a preferred qualification.
Experience with cloud-based applications and service-oriented architectures is preferred.
Familiarity with modern API frameworks, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures is preferred.
Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams is preferred.

Remote within the United States with up to 10% travel as needed.
Eligible for a bonus target in addition to base salary.
