Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end operation of compute, storage, networking, database, and runner infrastructure for isolated and air-gapped environments.
- Design, build, automate, operate, secure, and recover the platform foundation across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
- Design and enforce Zero Trust segmentation, least-privilege access, and controlled ingress and egress across multiple environments.
- Administer GitHub Enterprise Server, including repositories, permissions, Actions runners, audit logs, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Integrate identity, privileged-access, secrets, key, and certificate services using federation, SAML, OIDC, RBAC, conditional access, credential rotation, and lifecycle controls.
- Build and operate secure software-supply-chain pipelines for source code, packages, containers, firmware, and other artifacts.
- Engineer geographically redundant backup, replication, restore, and failover capabilities and validate recovery through routine testing.
- Automate and monitor the platform with Terraform, scripting, centralized observability, vulnerability remediation, threat modeling, security reviews, and threat detection.
- Lead major incident response, including investigation, containment, recovery, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or information systems, or a high school diploma/GED plus seven years of qualifying platform and infrastructure experience.
- Seven years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, site reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure security, or a related field.
- Three years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating infrastructure with Terraform across AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud or virtualization technologies.
- Three years of production experience administering GitHub Enterprise Server or a comparable self-hosted software-development platform.
- Three years of scripting and software-development experience using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell is preferred.
- Experience with highly scalable Kubernetes environments, greenfield platforms, air-gapped or isolated production environments, physical infrastructure, and mission-critical enterprise platforms is preferred.
- Experience protecting sensitive or regulated information and implementing controls aligned with NIST CSF, FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD STIGs, or comparable standards is preferred.
- Strong security judgment, discretion with confidential intellectual property, comfort with ambiguity, and experience with Agile Scrum methodologies are preferred.
