Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software architecture and development for airborne LiDAR and imaging systems.
- Develop software for sensor control, data acquisition, timing and synchronization, hardware monitoring, communications interfaces, and health-status reporting.
- Define requirements and interfaces across hardware, firmware, and application layers.
- Integrate software with laser subsystems, LiDAR sensors, detector electronics, GNSS/INS systems, cameras, aircraft interfaces, and data storage systems.
- Develop operator and maintenance interfaces supporting startup, mission execution, calibration, diagnostics, and maintenance workflows.
- Create health monitoring, predictive maintenance, automated diagnostic, and fault-reporting solutions.
- Support root-cause investigations, environmental testing, hardware-in-loop testing, flight testing, factory acceptance testing, and performance analysis.
- Establish software practices, mentor software and systems engineers, contribute to technology roadmaps and product strategy, and support customer demonstrations, proposals, and executive briefings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with embedded systems or hardware-integrated software.
- Demonstrated success leading software development for complex technical systems and supporting products from concept through operational deployment.
- Experience with C++, Python, C, C#, Rust, Linux, Embedded Linux, RTOS, Qt or similar UI frameworks, Ethernet, USB, serial interfaces, CAN Bus, PCIe, timing and synchronization systems, high-speed data acquisition architectures, Git, CI/CD workflows, automated testing frameworks, and requirements management tools.
