Responsibilities

  • Develop AI and machine learning model systems, including GenAI and LLM-based solutions, and integrate them into large-scale cloud SaaS production environments for healthcare.
  • Collaborate with product leaders, clinical informaticists, data scientists, UI/UX researchers, engineers, and healthcare professionals to design and deliver high-value solutions.
  • Build and evaluate solutions using structured and unstructured healthcare data for predictive modeling, summarization, recommendation, semantic search, extraction, classification, and related applications.
  • Conduct research and experimentation to select algorithms, approaches, and evaluation methods, and perform the R&D required for production-ready systems.
  • Perform data collection, cleaning, analysis, prompt tuning, parameter fine-tuning, model training, development, and evaluation.
  • Apply and improve responsible AI evaluation practices using LLM-as-judge, RAGAS, LangSmith, and custom performance and quality metrics for model quality, fairness, and safety.
  • Share knowledge and help develop new AI/ML capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, with strong foundations in applied mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
  • Proven industry experience delivering multiple major product releases in a commercial SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with healthcare data such as EHR, ADT, or clinical notes.
  • Proficiency in Python; Java or other programming languages is helpful.
  • Proficiency with SQL and data engineering for AI/ML applications.
  • Experience working with large datasets and big-data frameworks such as Azure Data Lake, Apache Spark, or Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of transformer models and LLM-based approaches, including prompt tuning and PEFT methods such as LoRA and QLoRA using Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and LightGBM.
  • Experience building and deploying models on public cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and production scaling considerations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and comfort working on a distributed team.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning or RLHF, NLP techniques for summarization, extraction, classification, or semantic search, RAG pipelines, or agentic frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
