Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of microcontroller-based embedded systems for automotive ECUs.
- Define software and hardware interfaces, memory maps, peripheral configurations, and microcontroller platform strategies.
- Configure, integrate, and debug AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive modules, including MCAL and BSW stacks.
- Develop and optimize RTOS-based and bare-metal systems, low-level drivers, bootloaders, diagnostics, and safety mechanisms.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, communication protocols, and vehicle systems while supporting board bring-up and hardware/software validation.
- Perform hands-on debugging with emulators, debuggers, trace tools, and oscilloscopes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO 21434, and automotive cybersecurity requirements.
- Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers, silicon vendors, OEMs, and global cross-functional teams.
- Mentor embedded engineers and lead problem-solving, debugging, integration, and performance-optimization activities.
- Own the microcontroller platform roadmap and contribute to ECU strategy.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience is stated as the minimum requirement; the technical profile also references 8–12 years of embedded software experience and at least 3 years in a technical lead capacity.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computers, Electronics, or a related field, along with 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong expertise in AUTOSAR Classic, including MCAL and BSW configuration and integration; Adaptive AUTOSAR knowledge is a plus.
- Strong embedded C/C++ development experience for automotive-grade microcontrollers such as Infineon, NXP, Renesas, and STMicroelectronics.
- Deep knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Experience with RTOS, bare-metal programming, low-level debugging, and microcontroller architectures.
- Experience with OSEK, FreeRTOS, QNX, or similar RTOS technologies.
- Knowledge of Infineon Aurix, NXP S32, Renesas RH850, TI Hercules, or similar microcontroller families.
- Familiarity with functional safety concepts and tools such as FMEA and fault injection.
- Knowledge of calibration, UDS diagnostics, flash bootloaders, testing frameworks, and HIL systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
