Base Salary

$118k - $177k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, validate, and optimize embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, utility programs, and firmware.
  • Design and implement software modules and participate in software architecture and hardware-software co-design.
  • Perform coding for large features, unit testing, integration, regression testing, debugging, issue triage, and fixes.
  • Conduct code reviews and help ensure software quality and adherence to project specifications and schedules.
  • Analyze software requirements and user needs to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project and hardware design teams and write technical software documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Preferred experience includes 3+ years of embedded systems development and strong C, C++, or ARM assembly programming skills.
  • Understanding of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals, ARMv8/v9 ISA, and preferably RISC-V architecture.
  • Experience with performance evaluation and optimization for ARM-based SoCs.
  • Familiarity with open-source development tools and frameworks and software or driver development for Linux or RTOS environments, including Zephyr RTOS.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
