Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Develop resilient systems to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for critical services.
- Lead incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Automate incident detection and response using runbooks.
- Write software to support reliability and efficiency needs.
- Design and implement observability across systems using modern tools.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance testing for scalability.
- Collaborate with teams to build reliable and high-performance services.
- Ensure best practices in infrastructure design and maintenance.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure management.
- Participate in chaos engineering initiatives.
- Drive advanced alerting and anomaly detection.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as an SRE in cloud and on-prem environments.
- Deep understanding of Linux systems and networking.
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
- Strong skills in at least one programming language (Python or Go).
- Proficient in shell scripting using bash or similar.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing systems.
- Familiarity with Chaos Engineering methodologies and tools.
