Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own and enhance Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions and Go-based controllers across multiple clusters and cloud accounts.
- Design admission controls, including validating and mutating webhooks, to enforce platform standards and deletion safeguards.
- Build secure cross-cluster communication and provisioning using Kubernetes RBAC, identity federation, STS, IRSA, and Amazon EKS Pod Identity.
- Develop Terraform providers, Feature Gateway APIs, authentication and authorization frameworks, routing, and composition engines for developer-facing platform experiences.
- Lead multi-region and multi-cluster deployment, promotion, release, orchestration, Infrastructure-as-Code, and GitOps automation.
- Drive scalable design, idempotent reconciliation, automated testing, CI/CD reliability, security reviews, architecture decisions, and shared tooling adoption.
- Lead responsible adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools across the team.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience with Custom Resource Definitions, operators/controllers, reconciliation, admission webhooks, and RBAC.
- Proficiency in Go building and supporting production-grade services, controllers, or platform components.
- Strong AWS knowledge, including Amazon EKS, IAM, STS, VPC networking, IRSA, and EKS Pod Identity.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and cloud networking, including Services, EndpointSlices, Ingress controllers, ALB/NLB, Network Policies, CNI plugins, and cross-cluster communication troubleshooting.
- Experience designing, building, and operating highly available production-scale platform services and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with integration, regression, performance, end-to-end, and smoke testing.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and accountability skills.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes, namespace isolation, vCluster, least-privilege identity models, and Terraform provider development.
- Preferred experience in financial services or other regulated industries and familiarity with audit, risk, compliance, security, and control requirements.
- Preferred familiarity with platform engineering, internal developer platforms, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks.
